Mother’s Day for Americans

After the Sunday meeting, we moved from the church to a member’s house
to have lunch together.

Surprisingly, all the mothers received humorous gifts for Mother’s Day.
It reminds me that as the mother of a daughter  I had handmade crafts
and bunches of flowers from the young students in California and Florida.

Generous American spirits define Mother’s Day
as being not only for people’s own family members

but also extended to families and friends.

That’s a wonderful American virtue.
